Norfolk Storm is approaching it’s 20th season!!
Club History
Norfolk Storm, a Women’s Rugby Football Club, is currently approaching it’s 20th season! The club was founded in 1996 by Annie Collier, who later went on to become an Eagle. Annie was looking for a way to continue playing rugby after college. The first match was held in the spring of 1996 as an exhibition game against Philly. The club’s original name was Tidewater Storm. The club team now has 35 registered members comprising of all ages and skill levels. The goal of the team is to promote the sport of women’s rugby and build the level of sportsmanship and camaraderie within the rugby community.
Storm has been tackling for 20 years!
AFFILIATION
The Norfolk Storm Women’s Rugby Football Club is a Division I competitive team. We are members of the USA Rugby Union,the Capital Rugby Union.
Women of all ages, shapes, sizes and fitness levels are welcome.
